Helping people with accommodation
SmartMove is a tenancy support scheme for people who are receiving support from the Trust. Individuals are given one-to-one support to help find their own accommodation in the private rented sector.
How it works
A key worker provides support, concentrating on ensuring that all aspects of maintaining a tenancy are addressed. We work with a large network of private landlords who meet the high standards required by the Scheme, we are able to offer landlords a ‘bond’ deposit and we support people to set up a savings scheme to secure their own deposit.

How you can help
Sponsor a room
By sponsoring a room at Herring House Trust, you will give someone a place of safety and support they need on their journey.
Sponsor a meal
We provide nearly 20,000 meals per year at our Hostel. Our aim is to provide a home cooked, healthy meal each day with a good breakfast.
Make a donation
Every day we support over 80 people who are homeless or who are on the road to recovery. Your help will give people a chance again.
